Wild Environments
A new foundation for biodiversity – and we were there from the first conversation to the first post.
Wild Environments is a non-profit foundation for biodiversity that buys and restores land and brings people together through education and community formats. We supported the foundation through its entire launch – from Compass Sessions and workshops to corporate design, a custom typeface, website and film, right through to handing over the communication.

It all started with a name
The starting point
In early 2025, Tobias Büttel and Luisa Heidelbach came to us with an idea: a foundation for biodiversity and thriving ecosystems. It was meant to be different from the big established organisations – closer to the ground, built on education and community. There was a name and a clear set of values – and nothing else yet. We started with these questions:
> What does Wild Environments stand for, and what does the foundation do differently?
> How do you make a conservation foundation that doesn’t look like all the others?
> And how can two people pull it off without drowning in communication?
The full package, please!
How did we go about it?
From the first conversation to the first post: we were with the foundation every step of its launch.
01 Compass Session
Over several Compass Sessions we worked out what was already there and what was still needed. We tested the name together – and kept it.
02 Positioning I & II
In two intensive workshops we nailed down the essentials: strategy, audiences, approach and communication. Only then did we turn to design.
03 Logo, corporate design & custom typeface
We developed the visual identity – including a custom typeface used only by Wild Environments.
04 Website & film
We designed and built the website. Together with Tom Schäfer we made a film that shows what the foundation stands for.
05 Communication & handover
We ran the communication for the first few weeks and then handed it over – with a communication strategy, editorial calendar, templates, a detailed guide and a workshop. So the team can keep going on their own.

Outcome
What happened?
Wild Environments is up, running and visible. The foundation has bought its first plots of land, for example in the Rieder Filze moorland, and is restoring them. With formats like the Climate Cafe in Munich or “Rooted” it brings people together. It’s well connected, works with partners and turns up at events across the region.
The credit goes to Tobias and Luisa. They’re doing exactly what they set up the foundation to do. We made sure they didn’t have to start from scratch.

Let’s talk.
Tell us where you are. In the intro call we’ll see together whether we’re the right fit and what a sensible next step would be. 30 minutes, free, no strings attached.
After booking, we’ll send you a few questions to help you prepare. That way we can spend the half hour talking, not covering the basics.
