For artist Martha Frieda Friedel’s portfolio, we developed a design concept that allows her works to be experienced in a playful way. Instead of a traditional book format, we created a modular box that transforms the portfolio into an interactive experience.
Inspired by the diversity and combinative power of her images, the box offers viewers maximum flexibility. An introductory text, styled like a set of instructions, invites them to explore the works in their own sequence. Each piece is presented as a postcard, allowing for individual combinations or easy display—an homage to the transformative aesthetic of Martha’s art.
The box is designed in a compact book format, making it easy to ship and store. At the same time, it offers a unique presentation that honors Martha’s work and encourages creative interaction.
